【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletomultichannelpulseheight(amplitude)analyzers(MCA)withlinearamplituderesponse,whicharemeasuringdevicesusedforacquisition,storageandprocessingofamplitudedistributions.Theseanalyzersautomaticallycarryoutthefollowingoperations:-acceptanceofpulsesfromdetectionsub-assembliesorothersources;-analogue-to-digitalconversion(ADC)ofthepulseheightinformation;-sortingofpulseheightdataaccordingtopredeterminedcharacteristics;-storageofdigitalinformation(histogram);-processingofstoredpulseheighthistogramandexternallysuppliedinformationinaccordancewithpredeterminedalgorithms;-datainputandoutputfunctions(forexample,drivingadisplay,aprinter,afloppydiskdrive,aplotter,etc.).Theaboveoperationsmaybeaccomplishedseparatelyorcombinedinanintegratedinstrument.Allthetestsdescribedhereinarenotmandatory,butifthetestiscarriedout,thenitshallbedoneinaccordancewiththeproceduresgivenherein.Inmanycasesinnuclearphysics,itisveryimportanttomeasurethedistributionofcertainkindsofparameters,suchastheenergyofparticles,theirmass,theirdistributionintime,theirscatteringoncertainangles,etc.Inmodernmeasuringpractice,thisperformanceisusuallyaccomplishedbymeansofamultichannelpulseheightanalyzer.Thistypeofadeviceisbuiltinsuchawaythataquantityofacertainphysicalqualityisdigitizedandthenstoredaccordingtoitsdigitizednumber.AllmodernMCAscontainspecialstoringunits(memories)forthispurpose.Afteraccomplishingthemeasurementtherequiredinformationisretrievedfromthememorysothatitcanbeusedforinterpretationofthephysicaldata.Nowadays,multichannelpulseheightanalyzersaremorewidelyusedindifferentfieldsofscienceandindustry.Theirspecificaiminnuclearapplicationsistotransformthepulseheightrelatedtoacertainnuclearevent(usuallyenergy)intoanumbercorrespondingtoamemorycell,sothatduringthemeasurementonecanstoreahistogramthatisverysimilartotheinitialpulseheightdistribution.Thisdistributionreflectstheprobabilitydensityofparticleenergy(energyspectrum).Usingthestoredinformationaboutthedistributionitiseasytodeterminetheinformationabouttheinitialenergyoftheparticles(alphaand/orbeta-particles,gammaandX-quantum,etc.).Further,thisinformationcanbeusedtodeterminefluxdensities,doseratesanddoses,isotopeandelementconcentrationsandcontents,etc.Usually,apulseheightanalyzerincludesanADC(analogue-to-digitalconverter),anacquisitionunit,amemory,adisplayanddifferentinput/output(I/O)units(display,printer,plotter,etc.).Theobjectofthisstandardistopresenttermsanddefinitions,tolistmaincharacteristicsofmultichannelanalyzers,technicalrequirementsandtestmethodsforthefollowingparameters:-minimumandmaximumsignalpulseheightstobemeasured;·mainerroroftheminimumandmaximummeasuredsignalpulseheights;·instabilityoftheminimumandmaximummeasuredsignalpulseheights;·additionalerrors(orvariations)oftheminimumandmaximummeasuredsignalpulseheights;-channelwidth;·totalerrorofthechannelwidth;·instabilityofthechannelwidth;·additionalerrorsofthechannelwidth;-zeropointposition;·offset;·instabilityofthezeropoint;·additionalerrorsofthezeropoint;-operatingrange;-integralnon-linearity;-differentialnon-linearity;-deadtime;-maximuminputpulseratetobemeasured;-livetimeerror;-nonrectangularfactorofchannelprofile;-systemthroughput.
