It also describes procedures which, when followd, have produced the desired properties within the limitations of the respective alloys.

【摘要】:ThisspecificationcoversrigidPVCandCPVCcompoundsintendedforgeneralpurposeuseinextrudedormoldedform,includingpipingapplicationsinvolvingspecialchemicalandacidresistanceorheatresistance,composedofpoly(vinylchloride),chlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride),orvinylchloridecopolymerscontainingatleast80%vinylchloride,andthenecessarycompoundingingredients.Thecompoundingingredientsmayconsistoflubricants,stabilizers,non-poly(vinylchloride)resinmodifiers,pigmentsandinorganicfillers.Note1-Selectionofspecificcompoundsforparticularendusesorapplicationsrequiresconsiderationofothercharacteristicssuchasthermalproperties,opticalproperties,weatherresistance,etc.Specificrequirementsandtestmethodsforthesepropertiesshallbebymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.RigidPVCcompoundsintendedforpipe,fittingsandotherpipingappurtenancesarecoveredinSpecificationsD3915andD4396.RigidPVCcompoundsintendedforbuildingproductapplicationsarecoveredinSpecificationD4216.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note2-Thisspecificationissimilarincontent(butnottechnicallyequivalent)toISO1163-1:1985andISO1163-2:1980.
